I found myself
I found myself
In the midst of wonder
In between the question
And the answer
I found myself
When “no” means “no”
And nothing else
You were in me
Stuck like a rose thorn
In the shield of my heart
I couldn’t see it
I couldn’t feel it
You were in me
Like a pain that must be
Like a scar that proves something
Although I don’t have to prove
Like a mark on a soldiers’ gun
Although I am not a soldier
At least – not in your army
I found myself again
I found my heart
Regain to the shape unhurt
Stronger thou, than before
Wiser, older, and whole!
I am ready to give again
I am ready to loose or to gain!
