Camino, Day 5: Obanos to Estella (24 km)

We left the Albergue quite early, but not too desperately early. I think it was 7:30 am.
We shoot onto the road and made the first part of the journey quite smoothly. Later on was getting a bit harder.
We grabbed a lovely breakfast in Puente la Reina: sweet French style pastry, Espresso (bene) and freshly squeezed orange juice, bought some bread and departed. We were aiming towards Estella.
The Journey was actually harder than we thought, not only because of scorching sun that came up earlier this afternoon and with double the strenght that yesterday, no!
Also it was harder to convince ourselves that it was the 'easier' part of the Camino.
We stopped couple of times, once on the ancient pilgrim's bridge to soothe out feet in ice cold waters of the stream and once more to grabb the taste of the local Gaspacho (cold tomato soup served with bread) in 'La Bodega del Camino' - so refreshing and so filling at the same time.
The owner made a fool out of me and Tom asking: - would you like your gaspacho hot or cold? (we didn't know at the time that it only comes cold).
The closer to Estela the harder it was.
Eventually we've made it to the nearest Albergue in Estela, showered, washed our clothes and awaited a dinner.
The Pilgrim's dinner was spectacular, not only because of it's fulfilling effect & wine but mostly because of the people.
I've met Peter, and Anglican Pastor and we've spent evening talking about the work of God, vocations and so on.
I felt the presence of the Might One and all is @ Peace!

It's a pilgrimage to the end of the heart...

Buen Camino!
