Camino, Day 11: Belorado to Ages to Attapuerca and back to Ages (31,3 km)

Left Bellorado very late (8:30) after a very weak breakfast. Tried to find another breakfast (and coffee) place on the way and finally came across one in Epinosa del Camino. So finally I had a gorgeous breakfast, and a coffee and ... a bottle of shandy.
I picked up a great speed of walking and walked away from the lads to stop over a ruins of an old XI century to give myself a time to wonder. Later had a great discussion about relationships and so on with Jana.
Last part of the journey was very hectic. From the monument "A Los Caidos" each of us was in a pursuit of a fountain which supposed to be in 2km. We walked fast and to our surprise arrived in St Juan de Ortega (done 10 km in 1 hour and 30 minutes).
The walk led us beautifully through the oak & pine woods.
In St Juan Lisa and Hanah parted from us and went to catch a bus to Burgos. Tom, Jana and me continued to Ages. Arrived in Ages, and decided to do extra 2,5 km to Atapuerca, but unfortunately when we arrive the Albergue was full. We were puzzled, and of course tired.
A woman from an Albergue in Ages was passing by with her mini bus and we have found a place in a private Albergue in Ages.
We had showered and dined together with other pilgrims, eating traditional paelas, drinking wine and enjoying the time.

"The mystery of today is to-date-it now!"

Buen Camino!
